Aung
Kyaw Htet
Aung Kyaw Htet was born in Myaungmya, Burma in 1965. He studied at the
Yangon (Rangoon) School of Fine Arts after working on a riverboat for
years in order to save enough money for his art education. Aung Kyaw
Htet is a devout Buddhist and often paints scenes involving religious
life in Burma, as well as paintings of general life that possess a
strong sense of harmony and balance. His work is now exclusively
shown at the Thavibu Gallery in Bangkok. He has become one of Myanmar's
most successful artists.
